After 22 years of waiting, I finally heard Haight-Ashbury live — at Madison Violet’s sold-out final show of their farewell tour at Aeolian Hall in London, Ontario. Front row with Adam, I watched Brenley and Lisa share 25 years of music, love, loss, vulnerability, and resilience, ending the night with the very first song they ever wrote. It was nostalgic, emotional, and deeply surreal — a full-circle moment that brought me back to my 21-year-old self while grounding me firmly in gratitude for the artists they’ve been and the music that’s touched my life for decades.
