The Naked Sprout: what a fabulous foodie destination

Whether you’re solo, meeting a friend for tea, lunch or dinner, the naked sprout is a great all around foodie destination!

Mom and I were quite happy with our choice for a late lunch / early dinner. We were so surprised with the lovely 2-sided tea menu dedicated to all their loose-leaf teas. We were both happy with our tea choices and also loved the “perfect tea” timer brought to the table.

A very tasty meal: the sweet potato cream of broccoli soup was fabulous and the avocado's on the chick pea burger were lovely.

The sweet potato cream of broccoli soup was outstanding! It was a warm full-bodied hearty soup that felt just as good as it tasted. But note, there wasn’t really “cream” but the sweet potato that was the reason for the creaminess.  The chick pea burger is not a traditional greasy burger; it tasted and felt healthy and I really loved the combination of the tomato and avocados.

A healthy dessert? Lemon blueberry nut-cheese cake... it was very delicious

A healthy dessert? Lemon blueberry nut-cheese cake… it was very delicious

After such a delicious, healthy, vegan, gluten-free meal we felt we deserved dessert… well a dairy-free, refined sugar-free, egg-free, gluten-free, soy-free one anyway. The lemon blueberry nut-cheese cake was quite good. The fig crust was one of the best parts of this dish and the coconut added a great texture.

The service here was just as great as the food and ambiance. Thank you to Nicole for her upbeat personality, attentiveness and enthusiastic help with choosing our teas and meal.

About Marsha Idella

It's my Edible Journey! I love food. I love love love chef tastings. Eating out inspires my home cooking. I’m passionate about sharing the foods I’ve tasted – made by someone else or me. I love sharing my journey through food, advising where to eat and what to eat. Sometimes it’s a homemade meal, a nearby restaurant, a culinary vacation or a food themed event. I love sharing food photos and their descriptions just as much as eating, but I also need to archive my foodie photos and recommendations thus far so that I don’t forget where I’ve been. Sometimes it is about eating the same thing twice – especially when you want to share that experience with someone or just relive it. “This is amazing, you gotta eat this”
