The Crepe Kitchen, Oakville

The Crepe Kitchen feels like a hidden gem nestled away on Dunn street, just south of Lakeshore.

Overall the decor is warm and welcoming. As a lover of tea and tea cups, being greeted by the line-up of cute tea cups was comforting. But don’t be fooled they are just decorations.

20140126-145902.jpg The crepe menu is divided into savoury and sweet and is quite extensive. There are a few breakfast ones but I was feeling the caprese with prosciutto.

It was fabulous. I loved the meal as is and I was pleasantly full. The little green salad that came with it was a great companion, especially the amazing sweet onion vinaigrette dressing.

*Since this post I went again and tried Charlie’s choice and the hearts of Palm are a great combo with the chicken. I also had the chicken fajitas and it was just perfection, loved it very much and craving it right now as I remember the warmth of the chicken and red peppers…. Yummmm!

I really am looking forward to visiting again to try the many crepes combinations. I especially need to try a sweet one, like the “very yummy apples” one!

About Marsha Idella

It's my Edible Journey! I love food. I love love love chef tastings. Eating out inspires my home cooking. I’m passionate about sharing the foods I’ve tasted – made by someone else or me. I love sharing my journey through food, advising where to eat and what to eat. Sometimes it’s a homemade meal, a nearby restaurant, a culinary vacation or a food themed event. I love sharing food photos and their descriptions just as much as eating, but I also need to archive my foodie photos and recommendations thus far so that I don’t forget where I’ve been. Sometimes it is about eating the same thing twice – especially when you want to share that experience with someone or just relive it. “This is amazing, you gotta eat this”
