If you’ve been, you know what I’m talking about. If you’ve not been to Kumar’s then you must try it out.
Kumar’s may appear to be a small, dark restaurant in a tiny strip mall on Guelph Line, just south of New Street, but its got big taste! The wonderful fragrance of indian spices fills your nose and tickles your tastebuds when you enter Kumar’s. Today I had one of the most fabulous dishes: Allo Gobi with rice and garlic nan. The Potatoes and cauliflower were soft but still had a good intact texture. The mix of Indian spices was superb and I loved the little hint of sweetness in the tomato/onion gravy sauce. The garlic nan is thicker, breadier and drier then I’m use to but it holds its own and goes so well topped with the rice, sauce and veggies. I was dipping that nan in any little bit of sauce I found.
What an amazing dinner, and I didn’t know I’d like cauliflower so much!
I’ve been back to have bindi and butter chicken. It was another amazing meal.
