Jack & Lois: home in the city

Eating at Jack & Lois’ feels like you’ve driven back home to visit the family farm… with a twist.

From the outside, Jack & Lois looks like a normal restaurant. But as soon as I walked in I loved the green kitchen table. Which turned our to be the owner, Eric’s grandparents actual kitchen table from their farm house.

We loved our meals. Especially the double bacon cheeseburger special. The burger itself was just so flavourful on its own, but that bacon was pretty insane. And if the white bean & ham soup is on special for my next visit I would definitely get that again.

If you see the chocolate peanut butter pie on the menu, just get it! If you are too full, get it to go, because Anna’s not only an excellent waitress, but a superb baker too. I could taste the love in every bite.

About Marsha Idella

It's my Edible Journey! I love food. I love love love chef tastings. Eating out inspires my home cooking. I’m passionate about sharing the foods I’ve tasted – made by someone else or me. I love sharing my journey through food, advising where to eat and what to eat. Sometimes it’s a homemade meal, a nearby restaurant, a culinary vacation or a food themed event. I love sharing food photos and their descriptions just as much as eating, but I also need to archive my foodie photos and recommendations thus far so that I don’t forget where I’ve been. Sometimes it is about eating the same thing twice – especially when you want to share that experience with someone or just relive it. “This is amazing, you gotta eat this”
