At first glance Pane Fresco’s Pizza Margherita appears to be a puréed version of what I’m use to. But I’m surprised at all the great tastes in each bite…the appearance of minimal textures does not lack in taste. My mom and I along with another mom and daughter really enjoyed our lovely afternoon tea in this quaint and cosy tea room.
I love poached eggs for breakfast because there is so much you can do with them then just eggs benny. How about cornbread crumble with poached eggs?
I was beginning to worry that the only way to get my pizza Margherita fix would be a visit to Montreal, New York or Chicago (one day I’ll be able to say Italy too!) Thankfully today I found a close fix; Celli’s Osteria.
Unplanned afternoon tea? And solo? Is this allowed? Well if it’s for the sake of treating yourself, research for a girls afternoon out, and a blog post then of course it’s allowed.
6 food trucks meeting around the corner from home is like a chef’s tasting. Thank you to Dobro Jesti, El Luchardor, The Flying Potato, The Salted Pig, Urban Express and The Dirty South for not only feeding Burlington’s creative appetite but also doing it in the name of charity.
I made the normal non-creative homemade pumpkin pie and also some lovely homemade cornbread. But, I needed to use my creative side and also the rest of the pumpkin. So, I made PUMPKIN BUTTER TARTS. After all this I was quite hungry for breakfast and needed something before trying a tart, so I concocted pumpkin/cornbread eggs benny; which is poached eggs on cornbread topped with a pumpkin hollandaise sauce! The pumpkin is fabulous with the cornbread. And the tarts are decadent.
